Adopting a Cat or Dog
Why Adopt?
Adopting from us means that you're helping to rescue dogs and cats from shelters, pounds, and other situations where they may not have had a chance at life. Many of our pets come from difficult backgrounds, and through adoption, you're giving them a loving forever home.
Adopting a dog or cat is one of the most rewarding decisions you can make, not only for the animal, but also for you.
Here’s why:
1. You’re Saving a Life: Many of the animals we rescue have faced abandonment, neglect, or have been left in overcrowded shelters. By adopting, you're giving them a second chance at life. You're not just taking in a pet, you're offering hope, love, and the opportunity to heal and thrive.
2. Make a Difference in Your Community: By choosing to adopt, you help reduce the number of animals in shelters and pounds, and you’re supporting a cause that helps curb pet overpopulation. Each adoption makes a tangible difference in your local community, and in turn, you're playing a vital role in the larger effort to address animal welfare issues.
3. Adopt, Don’t Shop: When you adopt, you're choosing compassion over profit. Sadly, many pets bred in commercial or unethical settings may face poor living conditions. By adopting, you’re rejecting the harmful practice of mass breeding and helping to protect animals from exploitation.
4. You’ll Be Saving Money: When you adopt from a rescue organisation like ours, the adoption fee covers the costs of medical care, vaccinations, spaying/neutering if old enough, and microchipping. If you were to purchase a pet from a breeder or pet store, those costs would often fall on you. Adoption helps you save on the upfront costs of pet care.
5. Fostering Adoption Success: Some of our animals live in foster homes before they’re adopted, so they’re accustomed to living in a home environment. This means you'll have a good understanding of their behaviour and personality, helping to make the transition to your home smoother. Foster homes also help to identify any special needs or medical care that your new pet might require, ensuring they’re fully prepared for adoption.
6. The Joy of Giving and Receiving Love: Adopting an animal is an incredibly rewarding experience. You'll form a lifelong bond with your pet, full of love, loyalty, and companionship. The joy of seeing your adopted dog or cat thrive in your care is unmatched, and your new pet will be forever grateful for the chance you’ve given them.
7. Be Part of a Bigger Change: Adopting from a rescue organisation like ours means you’re supporting a movement to change the way animals are treated. Every dog or cat adopted is a victory, proof that more animals can have the chance they deserve. Your choice to adopt is part of a larger mission that promotes compassion, responsibility, and the humane treatment of all animals.

A member of our home check team will reach out, usually via email, to arrange a suitable date and time for the video call. Home checks are conducted to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for your new pet.

If your chosen animal is travelling over, you will be added to an adopters' group chat to keep you updated on their journey. Once they arrive in the UK, you will be added to the transport chat for ETA updates.
