What People Are Saying About Us

At ADRS, we are dedicated to saving lives, creating connections, and making a difference. But don't just take our word for it, here’s what our supporters, adopters, and volunteers have to say about their experiences with us.

We adopted Saint in March 2023 & I have to say ADRS were and continue to be superb in their love, care & passion to rescue & find furever homes for all Saint was a long standing foster pooch but they never gave up on him I’m a first time rescue adopter & they were open & honest regarding Saint given he does have quirks, arranged meetings with his foster mum, offer support, guidance, home checked……. the works & rightly so, as they want all the dogs to find the right people & have a loving home. Thank you ADRS for bringing Saint & I together & all the amazing work you do.

We adopted Marie through adrs back in may and she’s been such a delight, she’s so friendly and a happy go lucky girl we’re glad to have her in our lives, adrs adoption process was great going through all of the information with us and sending us lots of stuff as well as doing a virtual home check making the process simple, we would definitely recommend for people wanting another animal in their life to look here

We had an amazing experience adopting a Romanian rescue with ADRS. They were excellent, checking in after, keeping you informed of arrival, very helpful and responsive. The community of adopters are so supportive too. We love our pup, she is amazing. My only regret is I can’t have 10 more (or at least that’s what I’ve been told by my partner)

Adopted my lovely big pup from these guys last October, the work they do is phenomenal both here in Scotland and Romania. So many dogs living long happy lives thanks to them. The adoption process itself is smooth and well organised, makes things very easy for the adopter. We are now fostering to help secure doggies seats on the happy bus. Be warned, you get one, you'll want another!!

November 2021 we got amazing, cheeky lovable wee Rufus. The whole process of ADRS was great, We had tried for almost a year to rescue a dog but kept getting rejected via other rescue sites because we had cats. This wasn’t a problem for ADRS and I always felt looked after through the whole process, I didn’t ever feel forgotten or misinformed.

We came down from Wick to Glasgow to pick up Rufus from his foster, who I still keep in touch with, Amy was also incredibly helpful and kind.

Would definitely recommend, going in to it, it did feel a little dodgy as it’s all over Facebook, but seriously it’s not, it’s just a group of amazing people trying to find dogs homes.

Rufus is the best little soul, he is beautiful, well natured, playful, a little devil (RIP a pair of heels ) but just an absolute treasure and I can’t believe that his little life was hanging on the thread, rescuing here you are saving a life, and yes they take a little bit more time and effort to help them regain their confidence in humans, but once that barrier is broken, it’s like they realize you’ve given them a second life.

ADSR have been amazing start to finish for the process of adopting our dog. They make sure you are prepared for adopting and give you a lot of information about Romanian dogs. Everyone I spoke to within ADRS were so helpful and lovely including the foster mum. It’s also reassuring knowing we have ADRS there if we were to ever need it throughout our dogs life and not just left. Couldn’t recommend them enough and they do their best for all the dogs. They are just as excited as you to see the dogs go to their new forever home!

I have now fostered four dogs from ADRS, the support I have received has been phenomenal. When I got my home check carried out, it's almost as if the charity try to put you off fostering and adopting with all the worst case scenarios so there is no going into this blind. You know it is going to tough... but worth every second of it. Throughout the whole process, ADRS have been transparent and supportive. They check in on the dogs, check in on me and want to ensure the dogs are being well cared for. Their home checks are thorough, somewhat daunting but at least you know what you are signing up to - and if you don't, you didn't listen. If you are considering to adopt or foster, ADRS are 100% the best to do it with. I feel part of a family with them.
